While Eagles’ Wings initiatives are very involved with supporting social projects in Israel and assisting the Jewish people, we are a different organization from “On Wings of Eagles”, which is a program of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, to bring Jews to Israel.
Eagles’ Wings believes that while God has never broken His promises to the Jewish people, He also has intended to bless all nations through Abraham and his descendants (Genesis 12:3). Our outreaches have touched more than 30 nations, with significant emphasis on initiatives in
Israel, on outreach trips to the poor of
Honduras, and on bridges of connection with the church in
Germany and
England.
Through our outreaches and initiatives in the Middle East, in addition to working among the Jewish people we have sustained a significant burden for the Arab people. We have brought humanitarian aid and spiritual support to the communities of our Christian Arab brothers and sisters in cities like Nazareth, Bethlehem, and other historically Christian areas that have faced much persecution in recent years at the hand of radical Islam. Our vision is to see the love of God penetrate those places where darkness has increased, so that God’s Kingdom can come in power.
Israel is a nation with fallible leaders and an imperfect government, just like the United States and every other nation in the world today. While we do not condone or support everything that Israel does, we recognize that God has made promises to preserve His people Israel, and His promises will prevail.
We also recognize that the Jewish people above all others have been persecuted and victimized throughout history, and today, only a generation after the Holocaust, there is a significant wave of anti-Semitism rising once again. Now, more than ever before, we as Christians must pledge our support for Israel and pray faithfully for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).
Eagles' Wings regularly visits the Christian Arab communities of Bethlehem, Nazareth, and other locations in the Middle East, taking Christians to these locations and offering support through financial, spiritual, and relational means. EW is also publicly vocal in praying for all the inhabitants of Israel and Jerusalem, not just the Jewish people, and in seeking avenues of reconciliation among groups that differ in their perspectives and opinions, such as Jew and Arab.
